USMV Cares

As a non profit we provide support, supplies, and needs to our local Vet Centers and National Guard FAC centers.  These are the resources that service our veterans daily.

USMV Cares is a unique and quite large program designed to administer aid in areas that directly affect our veterans and their families.  It is an ambitious program that brings awareness to the benefits, services,  community outreach, and educating corporations, small businesses, schools, churches, and other community entities on how to get involved in their community.  No matter if it is, financially or boots on the ground, we are the facilitators to connect the dots of all the non profits locally, community aid, State programs, and Federal programs.  We are the connectors.

We also stand by our motto.

The USMV Cares program is designed to support and connect the wounded veteran, caregiver, and direct family. Then we connect the veteran, caregiver, and family with another veteran, caregiver, and family. This is an ambitious program designed and to be implemented towards wounded veterans, caregivers, and the families that have lived through the initial traumatic experience. As well as address the day to day stresses that the entire family will endure with caring for a wounded veteran. Then to return it full circle to events that reconnect them with those still serving in the Military in the present. This gives them a sense of connection back to the the military life.

How do we do this?

By taking the veteran and their families and connecting them to their local Vet Centers, programs, benefits, job resources, FAC Centers, and other community resources to fulfill their needs.

The USMVF Cares program is designed to support and connect the wounded veteran, caregiver, and direct family. How do we do this?

Providing services through USMVF that encourage positive steps towards mastering concepts that better the veteran and their families life and pursuit of happiness.

Quarterly BBQ’s, provided by USMVF to the local Vet Centers to aid in fellowship and reminding the veterans and their families we love them and are here for them.

Appreciation Gala style dinner once a year to show our appreciation for veterans and their families service with entertainment.

Outreach aid in linking groups or individuals with the resources to help in times of emergency with the resources to help accomplish the recovery of the veterans struggle.

Military personnel have obligations that can impact their tax situation, and they are entitled to special tax breaks. Along with that, veteran owned businesses have certain advantages. We want to make sure all of our heroes have the best personal and business accounting enabling them to be able to take advantage of the breaks that have been put in place.

Through the application of “find a new mission after the service to your country” mindset we then continue to direct our military and veterans in the path to find their needs through their community. Our events establish a long term connection with their community and a sense of belonging to a group that sometimes gets lost into the “civilian” community and directly adds to the veterans sense of not connecting with their new community.

Veterans and families, having gone through the first two phases, are now encouraged to share their stories of struggle and accomplishment at USMV events and programs as well as become more active in their communities. How do they become more active? By being a contact for other military families. They now heal through the mission of giving back and engaging their struggles into a helping others who are newer in experiencing the struggle. Some that are willing can become a part of FIRST CONTACT team with a USMV representative and be that veteran or caregiver that goes to the hospital/home to show support to a wounded veteran, caregiver, and family. This then restarts the cycle. This creates growth and a pay it forward mentality.

We connect veterans and their families to the participation, usually FREE or reduced price, that places them with others like themselves and their surrounding communities.  With them knowing that grateful Americans have provided their ticket really lets them feel supported, even after their service is over.  We also have partners and other resources we can refer them to get them into other missions such as; hikes, walks, support groups, group therapy, amputee workshops, valor games, and many other services that give them a mission again.

We also place them in our events as volunteers to work as a team in helping and connecting others like themselves.

EVERYONE is included.  All eras, no matter the service, or rating, caregivers, spouses, children.  Healing begins when we embrace the broken and push forward to a positive future moving in change.
